Compression springs are devices made up of helically formed coils with pitch in-between used to push back on an applied force or load in order to return to its original position when the force or load is released. They are the most commonly used type of spring as well as the most economical. This compression spring is made up of passivated stainless steel wire of 0.045 inch diameter. The 2.25 inch long spring comes with squared and grounded ends. The stainless steel material enhances the corrossion resistance properties of this compression spring which leads to increased service life of the product. This Compression Spring is compatible for use in the assemblies of GE's Giraffe Omnibed Maternal-Infant Care Systems.
