This Curved Spring Washer is made up of stainless steel. A washer is a thin plate with a hole that is normally used to distribute the load of a threaded fastener, such as a bolt or nut. In curved spring washers, the ring is bent into a curved shape at the centre which allows the washer to exert a spring force between the fasteners head and the substrate. As a screw is tighten, these washers flatten to add tension to the joint and prevent from small amount of vibration. It create more friction and resistance to rotation.The washer's Stainless steel material contains minimum of chromium around 10.5%. The presence of chromium offers corrosion resistance to stainless steel and helps to resist scaling at elevated temperatures. Stainless steel also maintain the excellent toughness. This washer is being used in many GE's Anesthesia Delivery machines. The washer will be shipped in suitable packaging to give adequate protection during transit.
