The Track Ball Assembly Complete LOGIQ P3 BT is used mainly in the ultrasound machines, Computed Tomography (CT) machines, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machines and many other Digital Imaging (DI) healthcare machines. It is mounted in the operator panel of the machine. It communicates with the host computer over USB through a HUB built into the operator panel electronics. Over USB, the trackball position data and the status of the mouse buttons are communicated via a standard Microsoft driver. The trackball assembly is supplied along with a trackball bracket, ribbon cable and tapping screw. The cable is necessary as the trackball replaces a previous design that had an integral cable for connecting to the mouse buttons. Both the trackball and the cable comes with adequate protection to survive the drop test. The integrated circuit takes continual snapshot of ball surface and how the features in these snapshots moves are used to detect ball motion. It is free from burrs, sharp edges, surface blemishes, sink marks and flash marks. The GE product is an innovation and technology which fits well into versatile customer needs.
