Product Overview
The MCB Chassis includes the SSB(Stator Switch Board), Enclosure for single CPCI card, Cooling replaceable fan unit. The chassis will host a 6U CPCI card (named MCB – Motion Control Board). The card has a CPCI form factor and it utilizes 2 mm connectors. A Protective Earth (PE) Ground (i.e. chassis ground, hereby defined as “shield”) will cover the entire backplane, on the external layers (CS & PS). It is defined in the net-list as GND_CHASSIS. On all other layers, a frame along the perimeter is connected to the shield using via each 5mm. The shield is connected to external shield points as much as possible. The external shield consists of a metal plate/structure. The chassis will not include a power supply. The chassis shall include means for mounting it to the system as will be defined in the SSB (Backplane) Mechanical Interface Drawing. The mounting shall guarantee conductive contact to the system. The backplane will contain connectors. The chassis shall include a removable fan tray, to be mounted in the enclosure. The backplane will have a Copper strip & gasket, to which the MCB metal enclosure is connected and sealed. The GE product is an innovation and fit well into versatile customer needs.
