This stainless steel screw is a round head socket hex screw with an unthreaded section called the shoulder across the middle of the shaft. The screw comes with locking element on the threads which adds friction to resist loosening. These 18-8 stainless steel shoulder screws have good chemical resistance and may be mildly magnetic. It is passivated for added protection against oxidation and corrosion. A standard shoulder with an undersized tolerance allows them to fit most machinery and equipment. They’re often used to guide or align components, and as an axle or pivot point. The shoulder length of this bolt is 1/2 inch and it comes with #1/4"-20 thread over the length of 7/16 inch, the provided hex socket can be driven by a hex wrench. 18-8 stainless steel material provides the screw with good corrosion resistance and mechanical properties. This shoulder screw is used in assemblies of GE Discovery 750 Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) systems.
