The External Axial Mount is an assembly component in X-Ray machines. These mounting rings are installed in an axial (horizontal) direction along the center point of an axis in a housing/bore or on a shaft and will make almost complete circular contact with the groove enabling them to withstand significant thrust loads. One can observe that wire width decreases along the ring, which allows the ring to remain circular when installed. The carbon spring steel grade gives high strength and hardness and maintains its corrosion resistance even at high temperatures. The passivated oil finish enhances its natural corrosion resistant property. Spring steel alloys feature the unique characteristic of being able to withstand considerable twisting or bending forces without any distortion. Products made from these steel alloys can be bent, compressed, extended, or twisted continuously, and they will return to their original shape without suffering any deformation. This characteristic is defined as high yield strength and is the result of the specific composition and hardening of the steel alloy.
