O subconjunto de foles - ABA adulto com amortecedores de anel de disco BCG é usado em um sistema de anestesia, que fornece uma sofisticada ventilação do tipo foles ascendentes. Esse sistema ajuda a absorver o ar ambiente, que pode ser enriquecido com oxigênio de um cilindro. O conjunto de fole contém foles encaixados em um disco, moldados sob pressão e com pára-choques, tornando-o robusto. Os foles cheios de gases anestésicos são colocados em uma câmara externa de plástico rígido. Um gás pressurizado é roteado entre os foles e sua câmara plástica externa. Isso comprime o fole e os gases anestésicos disponíveis no interior do fole são entregues ao paciente através de um sistema respiratório, formando assim um circuito duplo. O uso do fole ascendente torna seguro o conjunto do fole, bem como todo o sistema de administração de anestesia, pois, se ocorrer uma desconexão do circuito, o fole não será preenchido.
