The Seal EPDM 65 Durometer Breathing Circuit Gas (BCG) is a mechanical seal that generally used where an O-ring does not provide an adequate seal. The improved performance is achieved by using custom-shaped gasket that more precisely fits to the mating groove. The most common use of gasket is to fill the space between two or more mating surfaces in order to prevent any seepage from or into objects. Gaskets are used for static seals. These seals are used in variety of equipment. The seal is made of an EPDM material. The material is used in variety of medical, pharmaceutical and biotechnology applications such as anesthesia equipment, surgical drills, biotech processing equipment and door seals. EPDM seals can withstand high temperatures that exceeds 100° C.
